Humor me

Please, if you have time, I have a question for all of you. The question is this: At what age did you become aware of the ingredients in the dinners your parents cooked for you, specifically Lasagna? Also, did you know what pasta was made of at that age?

Thank you!

My dad would always through weird things into food, so I don't remember a time where I didn't ask, "what's in this?"

I wouldn't actually eat lasagna (my dad made his own tomato sauce and I was afraid of anchovies making their way in)...but I always knew pasta was wheat. Probably through Sesame Street, not my parents telling me, though.

I didn't have to ask, my mom just cooked it as it was and only used salt and pepper. All those "weird" things like lasagna and pasta I learned about when I started cooking myself. And I only ask what's in it if I like it and would like to know the recipe. If I don't like it I won't eat it anymore! How is that for humor??? hehe.

God's Grace.

I remember running upstairs and hiding under the bed when I was a kid because my mum was cooking 'Toad in the Hole' for tea.

:-)

I didn't want to eat toad!
