Please, if you can, tell me the name of this song and who sung it...

I only heard part of the song. It sounded old, maybe 70's or even 80's. The song was so hauntingly beautiful to me.

"Old and Wise", the Alan Parsons Project. I am a veteran lyric hunter - the easiest thing to do is just to type the song fragment into Google and let them do the heavy lifting.

Thank you for your help and so quickly too. Funny thing is, I've enjoyed some of Alan Parsons Project music before, but this song just baffled me.
